About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Aspirare Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems, with a focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments on each job to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Delivering excellent communication within the department, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including those related to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance of mechanical systems, including predictive maintenance and repair work.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, using a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the continued reliability and efficiency of our mechanical systems.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds or NVQ certification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 18th Edition certification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think on your own initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
