Data Centre Operations Director

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking a highly experienced Data Centre Operations Director to lead our data centre operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of our data centres.
Key Responsibilities:- Capacity Planning: Plan and manage data centre capacity to meet current and future business needs, ensuring scalability and flexibility.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for data centre operations, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high service levels.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of data centre professionals, including facility managers, IT staff, and support personnel.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure they meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services.
- Facility Management: Ensure that the physical infrastructure of data centres (cooling, power, and security systems) is maintained to prevent disruptions.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of IT hardware and software within the data centre.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Implement monitoring systems to track performance metrics and generate regular reports on data centre operations.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime in case of an incident.
- Security Management: Ensure the physical and cyber security of the data centre, protecting against breaches and other threats.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that data centre operations comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Oversee the resolution of operational issues and emergencies, ensuring minimal impact on services.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on data centre performance and strategic initiatives.
