Marine Solicitor Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Solicitor to join our team at ACHUMAN CAPITAL. The successful candidate will work with a leading law firm based in London, handling a range of claims including hull, war, marine liability, cargo, mortgagee's interest insurance, marine cyber, and yachts, as well as addressing both wet and dry shipping matters.

The Role:

The Marine Solicitor will be responsible for handling complex disputes, insurance policy drafting, and commercial contract matters. The ideal candidate will have experience of marine insurance at an established shipping law firm, arbitration and court procedures experience, and previous experience with client contact and attendance at business development events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a range of claims including hull, war, marine liability, cargo, mortgagee's interest insurance, marine cyber, and yachts;
  • Addressing both wet and dry shipping matters;
  • Handling complex disputes;
  • Drafting insurance policies;
  • Working on commercial contract matters;
  • Providing advice to clients on marine insurance and shipping issues.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years' PQE;
  • UK qualified or CILEX qualified with relevant experience;
  • Experience of marine insurance at an established shipping law firm;
  • Arbitration and court procedures experience;
  • Previous experience with client contact and attendance at business development events.
