Job Title: Mobile Fabric Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our award-winning team based in the South West. As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of domestic and commercial premises throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out planned works, such as bathroom renovations and insurance works, in domestic and light commercial properties.
  2. Work on a diverse range of projects, including housing association properties.
  3. Respond to emergency call-outs and carry out reactive repairs to building fabric.
  4. Liaise with the helpdesk to manage work orders and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  5. Complete relevant paperwork and report diligently, including customer sign-off after each job.
  6. Support the line manager/supervisor with quoting extra works and ensuring jobs stay on specification.
  7. Work in a customer-focused environment where quality and service are paramount.
  8. Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety.
Required Skills:
  1. Carpentry
  2. Painting and decorating
  3. Kitchen and bathroom fitting
  4. Tiling
  5. Basic plaster repairs
  6. Basic plumbing
  7. Basic electrical skills/knowledge
  8. Basic building fabric duties
  9. Flooring
  10. RAMS & PTW working knowledge and experience
  11. Brickwork repairs
  12. Roofing repairs
Person Specification:
  1. Experience in a varied construction and building environment.
  2. Full driving license.
  3. DBS check will be required and clean (exceptions may be given).
  4. Ability to work from plans and fill in any gaps or highlight to the supervisor for approval.
  5. A can-do attitude.
  6. Flexible mindset for reactive tasks.
  7. Possess a high degree of attention to detail.
  8. Awareness of Health and Safety.
  9. Highly customer-focused.
  10. Experience of working within a mobile workforce.
  11. Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
  12. Excellent communication skills.
  13. Ability to use a tablet for worksheets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Experience: Maintenance: 2 years (required)
