About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Assistant to join our team at AJ Chambers ® as a Senior Legal Administrative Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our leading international funds practice and provide high-quality support to our lawyers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior lawyers, including diary management, email screening, and document preparation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the lawyers' needs and priorities, and proactively anticipate and meet their requirements.
  • Ensure seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both physical and electronic.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events, and ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Support lawyers in marketing activities, including the preparation of pitch documents and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with billing and credit control, including liaising with Central Finance and preparing bill narratives and draft cost details.
  • Request bank transfers, pay money in/out, and perform other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs/O'Levels or equivalent at grade A-C, including English and Maths.
  • Secretarial qualification and/or MOS certification (desirable).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience of working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Efficient organisation skills, with a high degree of accuracy to prioritise an often conflicting workload.
