The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team at Leonardo, a global high-tech company and a key player in Aerospace, Defence and Security. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a community of world-class software engineers who will continuously improve, collaborate and innovate with other engineers to create market-leading products within the defence industry.

What you will do

You will be responsible for developing new features and capabilities using innovative software solutions. This will involve working on groundbreaking projects that help to further push and develop capabilities of products within our Integrated Sensor & Protection line of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test software applications using a range of programming languages and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation and technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software solutions remain cutting-edge.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in software development using a range of programming languages, including C++, C#, and Python.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with software development tools, including Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
