RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced OFTO Divestment Lead to join our dynamic Partnerships & Transactions team.
The Partnerships & Transactions team plays a crucial role in managing the acquisition, divestment, and partnership activities for RWE Renewables' offshore wind portfolio. This includes executing M&A transactions and overseeing OFTO transactions for the UK project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the entire OFTO divestment process from initiation to completion.
- Manage the due diligence process for OFTO transactions, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
- Oversee the cost assessment process, providing expert guidance and analysis.
- Guide the cost allocation process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals involved in the OFTO divestment process.
- Negotiate Transfer Agreements and ancillary agreements, safeguarding RWE Renewables' interests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management, keeping them informed of key milestones and challenges.
- Monitor the OFTO market landscape, identifying trends and opportunities for RWE Renewables.
- A university degree in a relevant discipline, such as finance, law, or engineering.
- Proven experience in transaction management within the energy industry, with a focus on OFTO divestments, M&A, and project finance.
- Expertise in negotiating key project contracts and understanding the regulatory and technical aspects of the OFTO regime.
- Experience in running regulated cost assessment processes and knowledge of offshore windfarm construction & operations.
- A strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional networking and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to participate effectively in board meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Comfort working in diverse cultural environments.
