About the Role
Capgemini Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Digital Transformation Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Continuity Team, you will play a critical role in driving digital transformation initiatives across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry trends.
- Create a strategic roadmap for digital transformation in manufacturing and engineering processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, big data analytics, and AI/ML.
- Design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions that enhance digital engineering and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for digital manufacturing, considering factors such as scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to align technology initiatives with business objectives, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Establish and enforce technology standards, best practices, and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
- Monitor the performance of technology solutions and make recommendations for improvements, ensuring that digital transformation initiatives deliver tangible business value.
- Optimize enterprise architecture to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs, leveraging data-driven insights and analytics.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in digital engineering and manufacturing, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading engineering digital transformation initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Proficiency in digital engineering tools and platforms, such as CAD, PLM, MES, and IoT technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing, big data analytics, and AI/ML applications in manufacturing.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Defence contract: SC or higher security clearance (currently holding or eligible).
- Defence contract: Must hold a UK Passport, Dual National not eligible.
Desirable Skills
- TOGAF, Zachman, or other relevant enterprise architecture certifications.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Security Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
