Role Overview:
The Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall is a premier venue for conferences, events, and exhibitions in Leeds, accommodating up to 2,500 attendees and hosting over 380 events annually. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Operations Supervisor to become part of our Operations Team. This hands-on position involves overseeing the seamless execution of operations during event setups and breakdowns. You will have opportunities for career advancement within a company that values its employees and recognizes outstanding contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete opening and closing checklists to ensure all tasks are accomplished
  • Maintain cleanliness and attractiveness of front-of-house areas during operational hours
  • Prepare meeting rooms and dining areas according to standard operating procedures
  • Report maintenance issues through the internal system
  • Manage laundry preparations and associated documentation
  • Administer First Aid and handle incidents as necessary; training will be provided if needed
  • Document and distribute incident reports to relevant departments
  • Ensure all tasks are finalized and a thorough handover occurs at shift end
  • Assist in preparing for upcoming events with the team
  • Delegate tasks effectively and encourage a proactive team environment
  • Support the Manager with weekly administrative tasks in their absence
  • Utilize initiative and discretion to resolve any arising issues
  • Ensure the safety of all guests and staff during duty hours
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who are comfortable with night shifts and possess a strong work ethic. While prior experience in a supervisory role is preferred, a positive attitude and commitment to customer service are essential for success in this position.
