Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Service Manager in the management of the team, participating in the wider management of the team, and ensuring strong links with the local authority. You will also be responsible for leading and promoting the highest level of practice skills and developments, inspiring and mentoring the team to deliver outstanding social work practice.

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will work closely with the Service Manager and relevant health colleagues to develop and ensure an efficient and effective service, in line with current policies, best practice, legislation, procedures, and systems.

Ideally, you will have completed the AMHP training, and as an AMHP, you will work alongside the AMHP Service to provide a quality experience for those who are in mental distress.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the Service Manager in the management and coordination of the social work services
* Provide quality supervision and professional oversight to social work practitioners
* Participate in the wider management of the team and ensure strong links with the local authority
* Lead and promote the highest level of practice skills and developments
* Inspire and mentor the team to deliver outstanding social work practice

Requirements:

* Qualified and experienced Senior Social Worker
* Completed AMHP training (ideally)
* Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh
* Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees
* Criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post
