We are pleased to announce an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Operations Coordinator to become part of the Wincanton team, specifically for the Wickes project. This pivotal position will be located at Wincanton's Northampton facility, primarily operating from Tuesday to Saturday, with working hours from 11:00 to 19:00. Flexibility in scheduling, including potential earlier start times, is essential for the successful candidate.
Compensation: £26,000 - £29,640 based on experience
Leave Entitlement: 25 days plus Bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Transport Shift Manager.
- Assist in managing drivers across various locations, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Ensure that operational objectives are achieved consistently on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Conduct briefings and debriefings for drivers at the beginning and end of shifts, both on-site and off-site.
- Update customer systems to verify deliveries and provide relevant management information.
- Foster a positive and constructive relationship with clients.
- Generate reports and compile statistics for the management team.
- Ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act.
- Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct compliance audits and manage the fleet to meet O Licence requirements.
- Oversee resources on-site and across out-bases to guarantee smooth operational flow.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required for effective contract operations.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a logistics or transport operations setting.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and follow directives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach to teamwork.
- General awareness of health and safety practices.
