Reconciliation Manager Job Description

BNY Mellon is seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Manager to join our RCoE Regulatory Oversight and Control team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enhancing and expanding our regulatory oversight and control framework, coordinating workstreams, and contributing to ongoing initiatives to standardize and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust regulatory oversight and control framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage workstreams, including Business Support, Audit Management, Breach/Issue Management, and Control Testing.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to drive efficiency and automation.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of data and high standard of commentary from team members.
  • Build a deep understanding of reconciliations undertaken within operations and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Participate in audit, risk, and control investigations.
  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Experience in financial services, preferably in a reporting, control, or risk-based function.
  • Reconciliation (TLM) experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract data and interpret it.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on automation and transformation.
  • Project management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Appetite to continuously learn and develop.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with a willingness to develop further.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or engineering/sciences, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10 years of total work experience preferred.
