About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of experienced paediatric occupational therapists at Collage Recruitment. Our client is a small team of dedicated professionals who provide specialist Occupational Therapy Services to children 0-16 years.
Job Summary
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing children with a range of needs, including Sensory Processing Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders, global developmental delay or neurological disorders. You will work holistically with families to ensure child-centred care and develop individualised treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of children using standardised and informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans through goal attainment scaling
- Conduct 1:1 and small group treatment sessions in school and/or clinic
- Provide high-quality clinical record keeping and effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team
- Work autonomously to undertake a clinical workload and adapt to changing demands of the service
Requirements
- Recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Health Professions Council – Licence to Practice
- Evidence of successful completion of postgraduate level courses
- Clinical experience of working with children with a wide range of needs
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and reflection skills
- Ability to work at a high level of autonomy and adapt to change
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the service
