HSB Technical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager / Marine Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our marine engineering workshop in Brixham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance and repair of marine vessels and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the workshop, ensuring all tasks are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all marine vessels and equipment.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies, while maintaining the highest quality standards for all repair and maintenance work.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of marine technicians and engineers, conducting performance evaluations and providing training and development opportunities.
- Technical Expertise: Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair tasks on a variety of marine engines and systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to propulsion systems, auxiliary systems, and other marine equipment.
- Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide technical advice and solutions.
- Reporting and Administration: Prepare and present detailed reports on maintenance activities and project progress, maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ minimum in marine engineering or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Travel and Licensing: Must be able to travel to Brixham and hold a Full UK Drivers License.
