Energy Network Director

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly experienced Director of Clean Energy and Heat Networks to lead strategic energy decarbonisation projects across Westminster City Council. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
The RoleAs Director of Clean Energy and Heat Networks, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a pipeline of energy investment and heat network projects to achieve net zero targets.
- Overseeing the operational delivery of major energy infrastructure decarbonisation projects, leveraging the latest technology and innovation.
- Collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team to translate clean energy priorities into impactful outcomes for Westminster's communities, businesses, and stakeholders.
- Enhancing the council's capability in energy decarbonisation, ensuring benefits across climate, air quality, equality, and health.
- Providing inspirational corporate leadership, managing resources responsibly, and promoting a culture of equality and diversity.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Senior-level experience in managing large, complex heat and energy infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of heat network delivery models, financing, and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to supervise teams and consultants in project implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of setting strategic direction and fostering a high-performing workforce committed to diversity and inclusion.
