About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Associate to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support qualified staff in delivering high-quality patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living and communicating effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in planning and liaison activities for patients, including setting up and supporting clinics and undertaking extended role offender-focused health promotion activities and programmes.
  • Work closely with Management to ensure that the Prison Health Agenda is supported at all levels in the Practice.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications with all interested parties, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Actively engage with offenders in the provision of holistic, needs-led care, taking into account the physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of individuals and groups.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
  • English and Mathematics basic qualifications (e.g., GCSE at Grade C or above, New GCSE Grade 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or evidence of Level 2 in Functional skills for numeracy and literacy).
  • Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development.
