About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team at Eversheds Sutherland. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our global financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate the management accounts on a monthly basis, with oversight of critical areas such as WIP, debt, and foreign exchange.
  • Review and challenge the Group's balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial control and accuracy, identifying and managing risks and opportunities across the Group.
  • Manage SAP general ledger alterations, including new account codes, cost centers, and FX configuration, ensuring completeness of reporting.
  • Contribute to the UK external audit, ensuring an efficient audit with minimal management letter points, and support international finance teams with local filings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for international Finance teams, aiding them in the production of their accounts.
  • Reconcile reserves by legal entity, ensuring all statutory adjustments are accounted for correctly locally and at a Group level.
  • Manage, coach, and develop accountants and assistant accountants within the Financial Control team.
Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, demonstrated by excellent Financial Control experience.
  • Professionally qualified accountant with industry experience.
  • Partnership and international experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively, build strong relationships, and influence and work across complex entities, systems, and countries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
