We are seeking an experienced and skilled Service Manager to lead our Substance Misuse service in HMP Ranby, a Category C prison. As a key member of the Offender Health Directorate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare services to patients with substance misuse problems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing teams and substance misuse services, with experience of performance management, service development, and working within clinical and psychosocial substance misuse services. You will be able to demonstrate innovative practice, work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, and maintain clinical efficacy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful providers of prison healthcare in the UK, working with a diverse range of patients and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will have access to peer support, supervision, and excellent opportunities for learning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate a high-quality, safe, effective, and efficient service to meet the needs of the patient population across the prison establishment.
- Demonstrate innovative practice, whilst collaboratively working with multiple stakeholders, maintaining clinical efficacy, enabling the service to compete as a provider of choice to local commissioners.
- Manage the Substance Misuse pathway and the staff working within it, providing supervision, clinical expertise, and advice for those involved in the care of patients with substance misuse issues.
- Degree in a related field.
- RCGP2 or willingness to achieve this.
- Experience of managing teams and substance misuse services.
- Experience of performance management.
- Experience of developing services.
- Extensive experience of working within clinical and psychosocial substance misuse services.
