Job Summary:

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced HGV driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering work wear in cages from various sites across the North-West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver work wear in cages from various sites, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Conduct thorough checks on the vehicle and maintain the appropriate temperature levels to ensure the safe delivery of goods.
  • Perform pre and post-use vehicle checks in line with company policy.
  • Monitor vehicle defects and wear and tear, reporting them promptly to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in operating 7.5t vehicles.
  • A valid UK driving license with C+E certification.
  • No more than 6 penalty points on your license, with no IN, DD, DR, or DG endorsements.
  • An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.95 per hour, with a minimum of 8 hours paid.
  • 28 days paid annual leave pro-rata for PAYE employees (inclusive of statutory holiday).
