Role Overview

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious individual to join our School Crossing Patrol Service as a Community Safety Officer. This role involves ensuring the safety of children on their way to and from school, working closely with the local community to promote road safety awareness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out patrols during term time, typically an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. A uniform will be provided to protect against the elements, and basic IT skills are required for the role.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out patrols during term time to ensure the safety of children on their way to and from school
  • Work closely with the local community to promote road safety awareness
  • Provide a visible presence to deter anti-social behavior and promote a safe environment
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to road safety
Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible individual who is able to demonstrate traffic awareness and a commitment to making the roads of Hampshire safer for children and other pedestrians. The successful candidate will be required to work 10 hours per week during term time and will be provided with a uniform to protect against the elements.
