About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Digital Production Journalist to join our team at The Telegraph. As a Digital Production Journalist, you will be responsible for sub-editing and publishing digital Features, Lifestyle, and Magazine longreads across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production
    • Ensure high-quality content is produced for a digital audience, including Features, Lifestyle, and Magazine longreads.
    • Optimize content for digital platforms, driving traffic and subscriptions through engaging copy, headlines, and visuals.
  • Sub-Editing and Publishing
    • Sub-edit and publish digital content, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency.
    • Work with our Visual Storytelling team to commission graphics and illustrations that enhance our stories.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Liaise closely with our Social Media and Community teams to plan and enhance our features and lifestyle content across social platforms.
    • Work with our SEO team to ensure articles perform well in search results.

Key Skills

  • Experience in sub-editing and producing stories on digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of how to present content for digital and social platforms, including great headlines and standfirsts.
  • Enthusiasm, imagination, and digital ideas are essential.
  • Quick and accurate subbing skills.
  • Able to respond well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
