Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the lead teacher in enabling each pupil to access their curriculum.
  • Engage with playground activities to promote social interaction and inclusion.
  • Support and encourage the development of pupils' education, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social welfare.
  • Keep accurate records and attend review meetings to ensure effective communication and progress monitoring.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to maintain a collaborative approach to pupil support.
  • Provide 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 support to pupils, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN pupils and a strong understanding of their needs.
  • Friendly, compassionate, and patient approach to supporting pupils.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Confident working in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, with a focus on promoting independence and self-esteem.
