About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Podcast Trailer Editor - Visual Storyteller to join our team at Flight Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transforming our long-form podcast conversations into visually stunning, attention-grabbing, and disruptive trailers that reach millions every single week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and assemble footage to create compelling trailers that effectively communicate the story and engage a global audience
  • Add graphics, visual effects, and sound design elements to enhance the overall impact and effectiveness of the trailer
  • Make necessary cuts, trims, and adjustments to ensure pacing, timing, and flow of the trailer are engaging and seamless
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, self-teach, and experiment with new techniques and software to continuously improve and deliver
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, under very tight deadlines, and exceed expectations
  • Share expertise and knowledge throughout the wider editing team and functions
Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Extensive editing experience is essential with a demonstrable portfolio of work
  • Proficient in video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong creative and narrative storytelling skills and the ability to create emotional impact through editing from long-form to trailers
  • Knowledge of graphics and visual effects software, such as Adobe After Effects, is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while consistently exemplifying our culture and values
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively, which can regularly require working outside of Monday-Friday
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts

Nice-to-Haves:

  • A keen interest in AI and examples of how it has or will create optimal Trailer outcomes
  • Experience in a similar role, in a YouTube-first or Studio-based environment
