About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at Focus Recruit. As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role in helping us grow our business by managing a portfolio of medium to large clients, booking staff to complete audits, and reviewing files to identify key issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full portfolio of medium to large clients, including some groups, and book appropriate staff to complete each audit.
  • Review files and highlight key issues to audit teams.
  • Liaise with clients in an appropriate manner and style.
  • Set budgets and negotiate fees with clients.
  • Raise invoices in accordance with agreed billing profiles.
  • Track delivery against budgets and identify any causes of overruns.
  • Be involved in appraisals and reviews, and identify training needs as required.
  • Engage in business development and networking events, and demonstrate the ability to introduce new clients to our firm through personal contacts, networking, or existing client introductions.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • At least 2 years' post-qualified audit experience from a UK accountancy firm.
  • Technically strong in UK GAAP.
  • IT competent and familiar with computerized packages, ideally CaseWare.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and multitask effectively.
  • Strong ability to identify key risk areas at planning and completion.
  • Able to work on own initiative and be flexible, while also being a team player and effective delegator of tasks.
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude and acting as a role model.

Employment Details

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday (hybrid).
  • Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
  • Right to work in the UK required.

Benefits

The package will include:

Annual Christmas bonus equivalent to 1 week's salary.

Salary sacrifice pension scheme, with employer contributions of 5% and employee contributions of 3%, subject to eligibility.

Private medical insurance following completion of 3 months' service, which is a taxable benefit.

Death in service scheme cover, 4x salary.

Group income protection scheme, non-contributory, following completion of 3 months' service.

Annual leave will be 25 days per annum, with 3 days normally taken at Christmas/New Year.
