About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our team at AtkinsRéalis, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firm. As a Senior/Principal Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of our successful and progressive team in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Planning Lead on projects across various markets and sectors, ensuring effective project management and delivery.
  • Provide support to junior colleagues and Planning team leaders, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Engage with market and client leads to support business growth and development opportunities, leveraging your expertise in Strategic Planning and Planning policy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in environmental, engineering, and design disciplines to deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
Requirements
  • Relevant Planning degree and RTPI membership or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with the Environment Impact Assessment process and knowledge of Strategic Planning and Planning policy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex planning issues effectively.
  • Flexibility to apply knowledge and experience to a wide range of planning-related tasks.
