Catering Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Harrogate Integrated Facilities. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, hygienic, and nutritious food service to our patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of a high standard of food service that meets food hygiene legislation and trust food safety policy requirements.
- Provide a patient food service and staff restaurant service under the guidance of supervisors.
- Regenerate patient food using equipment as trained.
- Observe portion control guidance and serve food in an appetizing and attractive manner.
- Ensure food products are correctly served according to instruction.
- Take and record food temperatures and seek further instruction where necessary.
- Participate in general cleaning following cleaning schedules.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and check stock deliveries into the catering department.
- Ensure stock is dated and stock rotation procedures are observed.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and observe quality control procedures.

Person Specification
We are looking for individuals with an awareness of hygiene, good verbal and written communication skills, and an understanding of the standards required. Previous experience in catering and allergen training are desirable.
