Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our Warrington/Liverpool team, you will work on a variety of projects, supporting senior engineers and the company director on commercial structures, public sector structures, rail, domestic, and temporary works design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of civil and structural projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site surveys, inspections, and prepare detailed reports to inform project decisions.
  • Support senior staff in project management and client liaison, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare complex calculations and computer models to inform design decisions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tenders and fee proposals, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable institution
  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects
  • Working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) to demonstrate ongoing professional development
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes and UK standards, with the ability to apply them in a practical context
  • A full UK driving licence to facilitate site visits and travel
