As a Culinary Specialist, you will be integral in upholding the highest standards of food quality and service within your designated area. From meticulous preparation to artful presentation, your contributions will be essential to the culinary distinction that characterizes this establishment.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and present food orders in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring impeccable plate presentation.
- Coordinate with team members in your section to uphold efficiency and quality.
- Manage inventory and establish mise en place for service.
- Adhere to venue standards regarding food quality, preparation, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain seasoning, portion control, and visual appeal of dishes.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in your section at all times.
- Follow safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with last-minute adjustments to orders and ensure timely food delivery.
- Maintain documentation of preparation, cooking, and presentation standards for reference.
- Work closely with senior chefs to provide support as needed.
- Coordinate tasks with team members in your section to achieve optimal quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- COSHH Training (can be provided).
- Basic understanding of HACCP principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm are essential.
- Strong organizational skills.
