Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Sales Merchandiser to join our dynamic Field Sales team at McCormick & Company. As a Retail Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with major supermarket retailers, ensuring excellent execution and availability of our products on store shelves.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage Store Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major supermarkets, including Tesco, ASDA, and Morrisons.
  • Utilize Technology: Effectively use technology to maintain accurate availability records and ensure great execution in-store.
  • Stock Management: Collect and deliver stock to stores daily to ensure 100% availability of product on shelf and compliance with store plans.
  • Store Record Keeping: Take full responsibility for maintaining accurate store records, including inventory management.
  • Support Other Brands: Provide support to other brands within the McCormick family as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Essential Requirements: Full UK driving license, right to work in the UK, and a UK bank account.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English.
  • Independence and Time Management: Ability to work unsupervised and manage own time to meet deadlines.
  • Relationship Building: Positive 'can-do' approach to managing relationships and expectations in stores.
  • Physical Demands: Enjoy the physical aspects of this role, including being out on the road and working independently.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to work as part of a wider team, sharing ideas and best practices to drive business success.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to put customers' needs at the forefront of everything you do.
  • Technology Confidence: Comfortable using technology to perform job tasks.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or hospitality is seen as an asset.
