About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biology Tutor to join our team at the Leeds International Study Centre. As a tutor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver, and develop modules offered by the centre, ensuring that they are current and relevant to the needs of our students.
  • Contribute to the effective overall management of the programmes and the student life cycle, participating in regular meetings with teaching and support staff.
  • Prepare and mark module examinations, providing feedback to students and contributing to the development of innovative teaching practices.
  • Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to ensure that it is user-friendly and effective in supporting student learning.
  • Liaise with the Student Experience Team and Registry and Operations Team to deliver induction, orientation, and registration programmes.
  • Engage in scholarly activity to ensure that the delivery of modules is current and relevant to the needs of our students.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in biology and a passion for teaching and learning. You will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area and a teaching qualification. Experience of teaching in UK higher or further education and working with international students is desirable.
