Equifind is collaborating with a prominent boutique private equity firm seeking to recruit an Investment Fund Accountant. This firm has successfully grown to manage over $3 billion in assets under management (AUM) and is currently expanding its team across various functions.

The firm has diversified its investments into sectors such as life sciences, technology, retail, and agriculture globally, with a robust pipeline of future investments. Reporting directly to the Head of Funds Finance, this position represents the third addition to the finance team in response to increasing demands.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a recently qualified professional eager to make a significant impact through financial analysis. Responsibilities will encompass fund accounting, investment evaluation, portfolio oversight, and more, presenting a rare chance to engage in a broad spectrum of activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with fund administrators to ensure timely execution of daily fund operations, including the preparation of quarterly investor reports, accounts, partner statements, capital calls, and distribution notices.
  • Assist in the quarterly valuation process and participate in the Valuation Committee.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators and tax advisors to deliver comprehensive investor tax reporting packages.
  • Support the quarterly portfolio review process by analyzing underlying investments and budgets in conjunction with the Investment Team.
  • Oversee the financial management of investment vehicles, including NAV oversight, cash management, invoice approvals, budgeting, and audit processes.
  • Contribute to deal execution alongside tax advisors, accountants, lawyers, and the investment team.
  • Work with Investor Relations to address investor inquiries regarding holdings, performance, distributions, and other ad-hoc questions promptly.
  • Collaborate with administrators, the Senior Financial Controller, and the CFO to review carried interest models.
  • Assist administrators during the audit process at the fund level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recently qualified chartered accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Proactive, personable, and dedicated work ethic.
  • Experience in financial services or a strong desire to enter the industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Compensation Package:

  • Base salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000.
