Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our residential groundworks project in the East Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the project's financial and commercial aspects, ensuring its successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly payment applications.
  • Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare cost reports in line with valuation processes.
  • Collaborate with the production team to compile monthly forecasts and ensure the project's commercial performance.
  • Control costs in accordance with budget and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Maintain organized project records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors or team members as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
Requirements:
  • Experience in residential or groundworks projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proficiency in construction software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a large project, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional accreditation as a Quantity Surveyor (MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
