About the Role

The University of Manchester is seeking exceptional and ambitious applicants to join our Integrated Academic Training (IAT) programme as Clinical Lecturers. This prestigious opportunity is designed to offer postdoctoral support for clinicians who have recently completed a higher degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) and have a National Training Number (NTN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake research and develop academic skills, with a focus on clinical leadership and innovation.
  • Complete specialty training, with a focus on developing expertise in a specific clinical area.
  • Apply for National Clinician Scientist Awards within the 4-year period.

Requirements:

  • Medically qualified with a higher degree (e.g., PhD or MD) or equivalent.
  • Completed core training and have a National Training Number (NTN).
  • Evidence of clinical leadership and a strong academic record.

  • A full-time position for the duration of remaining specialty training (until CCT) or a maximum of 4 years, whichever is soonest.
