Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss accounts, variance analysis, and detailed commentaries.
  • Execution and delivery of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the weekly Profit & Loss flash forecast reporting and provide analytical insights to the business.
  • Prepare and present weekly key objectives to ensure the achievement of operational goals.
  • Manage the month-end closing processes, ensuring all relevant journals, including accruals and prepayments, are accurately recorded.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in maintaining cash flow models and forecasting cash flow needs.
  • Provide mentorship and support to two accounts assistants, ensuring the effective operation of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that robust financial controls, processes, and procedures are in place for day-to-day financial operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the UK (Hospitality, Leisure, Retail sectors).
  • Demonstrated discipline and a high level of integrity.
  • AAT qualified or Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Experience in generating monthly financial reports.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and utilize initiative for problem-solving.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to changing workloads, and capable of prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
