Job Description:

Randstad Sourceright is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Developer to join our team as a Real-Time Software Engineer on a 6-month contract with potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test real-time embedded software for electronic motor control systems.
  • Collaborate with software teams and other departments in Germany and China.
  • Work in an agile environment, writing embedded software that runs on electronic hardware.

Requirements:

  • Confidence in downloading software to hardware and checking its functionality.
  • Familiarity with testing software and working in an agile environment.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ and knowledge of the lifecycle of real-time embedded software development.
  • Knowledge of hardware interface techniques, basic hardware debugging, and the use of ICE.
  • Experience with formal methods of software design and using GIT and defect tracking tools.
  • Experience with Assembler and ARM microcontrollers is an advantage.
  • Awareness of H&S and working in lab environments with mains voltages or above.
  • Understanding of Drives or other Power Electronics technology is a distinct advantage.
