We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair procedures on light and heavy goods vehicles, using your own personal toolkit and specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic checks to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair operations.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and industry developments.
- Qualified mechanic with an advanced level qualification (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent).
- Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV and HGV.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- High working standards and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and overtime.
