About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Team Lead to join our Software Engineering team at the BBC. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality mobile applications.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team to ensure that our software meets the required standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and delivery teams, to ensure that our software meets the needs of our users and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and testing plans.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Technical Team Lead or similar role in a software development organization.
  • Strong technical skills in mobile development, including experience with Swift and/or Kotlin.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of software engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
