About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gardener to join our team at Luton Hoo Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our grounds team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's gardens and grounds to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the gardens and grounds to ensure they are always looking their best.
  • Provide 'hands on' skills to ensure the hotel's gardens and paths are in excellent condition.
  • Manage and develop plants and flowers to complement the hotel's surroundings.
  • Carry out good composting regimes to ensure the health of plants.
  • Identify and control any pests or diseases that may affect the plants.
  • Perform ad hoc building repair work as necessary.
Requirements
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Have excellent health, as this is a physically demanding role that includes lifting and moving garden machinery.
  • Have a flexible approach, working hard to avoid disrupting our guests.
  • Have a smart and professional appearance.
  • Value being part of a team and supporting your colleagues.
  • Have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
  • Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel is a significant advantage.
  • Broad experience in a variety of gardening and landscaping skills is preferred.
