Warehouse and Yard Operations Specialist

Full-time, Permanent Position

Our client, a prominent supplier in the construction and timber industry, is expanding their operations and seeks to recruit two dedicated Warehouse and Yard Operations Specialists. This role is essential for supporting the daily functions of a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently loading and unloading shipments utilizing a forklift.
  • Accurately picking and preparing orders while managing stock movement throughout the facility.
  • Verifying the accuracy of loaded items against shipping documentation.
  • Providing assistance to customers at the Trade Counter as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of workspaces.
  • Engaging in manual handling tasks as required.
  • Complying with Health and Safety protocols consistently.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a structured work schedule. The standard working hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with alternate Saturdays from 7 AM to 1 PM.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a builders' merchant or similar environment is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capable of working efficiently with a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Health and Safety standards.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
