Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Operations Leader with a strong background in Rail and LV initiatives to join a prominent independent service provider. This organization employs over 600 individuals across the UK and internationally, boasting a turnover exceeding £77 million. They value the expertise of their team members by granting them autonomy and responsibility in their areas of specialization.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Project Operations Leader, you will oversee and direct the Rail/LV initiatives and the associated project team. Your role will encompass the management and enhancement of the rail sector, focusing on operational, financial, customer, and employee strategies within the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the Profit & Loss (approximately £2 million) with budgetary and commercial accountability.
2. Collaborating with the management team to fulfill the overarching goals of the business unit.
3. Demonstrating market awareness by identifying and pursuing new tender opportunities.
4. Controlling costs and enhancing operational efficiencies.
5. Establishing clear, measurable objectives to foster a performance-driven culture.
6. Overseeing projects, processes, and procedures to ensure quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
7. Managing contracts and implementing appropriate controls in collaboration with the management and Commercial team.
8. Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
9. Working closely with the Health and Safety team and participating in future audits.
10. Leading all HR activities within the profit centers, mentoring and developing the workforce while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Candidate Profile:
We seek a seasoned Project Operations Leader who possesses:
- Extensive experience in managing P&L, budgets, and commercial aspects.
- Strong technical acumen in the Rail and LV sectors and the electrical industry.
- Exceptional people management abilities, with a talent for leading, motivating, and developing teams.
- A solid customer-centric approach and understanding.
- Preferably a degree qualification.
- Relevant Health & Safety certifications (PTS/IOSH/SMSTS) for Managers.
