About the Role
We are seeking a skilled engineer or scientist to conduct research in the areas of physical manufacture, characterisation and validation of powder alloys and multifunctional materials and structures.
The successful candidate will have experience in Additive Manufacturing using metals and a strong background in metallurgy.
This is an EPSRC-funded project, already ongoing, and we are looking for a team member to contribute to the development of new scientific understanding of materials processing and manufacturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in physical manufacture, characterisation and validation of powder alloys and multifunctional materials and structures
- Develop new scientific understanding of materials processing and manufacturing techniques
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals
Requirements
- Experience in Additive Manufacturing using metals
- Strong background in metallurgy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Arrangements
This is a fixed term post for 12 months and can be held full or part-time. We encourage candidates to express their preference at the time of application or at interview.
