Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Carrington West. As a key member of our infrastructure and capital works team, you will be responsible for managing procurement, contract negotiations, and post-contract commercial management for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic sourcing activities for high-value, complex projects.
  • Implement a robust commercial management process to maximize contract benefits, focusing on safety and collaboration with supply chains and stakeholders.
  • Engage with the external market on procurement/commercial matters (e.g., new models, market shifts).
  • Oversee supplier management, claims management, cost savings, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and project managers to drive supplier performance and ensure compliance with regulations while adopting commercially sensible approaches.
  • Work with project controls and estimating teams to ensure a comprehensive and accurate commercial position is maintained.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, APM, CEng, CIPS) or the ability to demonstrate equivalent capability.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in construction or professional services in a commercial role.
  • Experience with a variety of procurement and contracting models, including NEC.
  • Proven experience in large infrastructure programs working alongside project managers, planners, risk managers, and project controls.
  • Experience with integrated project teams and supplier partnering organizations.
