Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to enhance our dedicated team. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational efficiency of our network of depots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on sortation equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, employing extensive fault-finding techniques for both electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all sortation systems.
  • Complete service reports and maintain internal documentation as required.
  • Utilize SCADA systems to assist in diagnosing faults within sortation equipment.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Security, Operations, and IT, to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety policies, including COSHH regulations.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess a recognized engineering qualification or have completed a relevant apprenticeship with a focus on electrical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a fast-paced automated environment with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure.
  • High levels of resilience, self-motivation, and adaptability.
  • A collaborative spirit with a proactive approach to work.

  • A valid UK driving license, as travel between depots is a requirement.
