Cardowan Creameries, located in Glasgow, is a prominent producer of bakery fats, boasting over a century of expertise in the sector. The organization focuses on creating premium margarines, pastry fats, and shortenings tailored for the food production industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting daily evaluations and analyses of incoming raw materials, products in progress, and final goods.
  • Serving as an internal auditor to execute plans for GMP, Hygiene, Fabrication, and QMS audits.
  • Documenting and reporting any non-conformances to the Technical Manager to ensure prompt corrective measures are implemented.
  • Performing additional tasks related to analytical and/or chemical reporting.
  • Executing necessary tests for microorganisms and communicating results to the Technical Manager.
  • Exhibiting strong organizational skills, efficiency, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Possessing solid experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • A qualification in Science or Food Science.
  • Technical or Quality assurance experience within a food manufacturing setting.
  • Certification in HACCP or Food Safety Management.
  • Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
