Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience producing 2D drawings and be able to create assembly instructions from 3D models provided by the engineers.

Key Tasks:

  1. Utilize SolidWorks software to create 2D drawings and assembly instructions from 3D models provided by the engineering team.
  2. Collaborate effectively with site engineers to clarify design intent and ensure the drawings accurately reflect the final product.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SolidWorks software and drafting practices.
  4. Potential to be responsible for developing clear and concise work instructions for assembly teams in the UK and USA.

Requirements:

  1. Hold an ONC, NVQ Level 3, or HNC in Mechanical Design Engineering.
  2. Adhere to the company's Health and Safety policy at all times.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all areas are tidy and equipment is returned at the end of each day or job.
  4. Contribute to the company's continuous development of updating their processes.
  5. Be proficient in using CAD Systems to produce both 2D and 3D outputs.
  6. Have strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills with attention to detail.
  7. Work a standard 40-hour week with occasional additional hours as required.
