We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at EDF, a leading energy company in the UK. As a key member of our Design Authority, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of safety cases for our nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership in resolving challenging issues to support the construction, commissioning, and safe operation of nuclear power plants.
- Develop and maintain safety cases, including the main Safety Report and safety justifications to support modifications.
- Collaborate with various disciplines within the organization, including Nuclear Analysis, Pressurised Water Reactor Technology, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.
- Work with OEM designers/suppliers and internal/external regulators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of a HNC or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a similar technical discipline.
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in nuclear safety engineering, with a focus on safety case development and maintenance.
- Ability to understand and distil complex technical data and analysis to define, scope, and strategically plan the delivery of safety cases.
