Job Summary

Fox Resourcing & Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Safely drive to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure transportation and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
  • Route Planning: Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules, minimizing delays and optimizing efficiency.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driving Licence: Hold a valid commercial driving licence (Category C) and a HGV 1/C+E Licence for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Driving Experience: Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, with a minimum of 6 months driving experience on Class 1 in the UK.
  • Driving Skills: Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks, with a strong emphasis on safety and well-being.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws, with the ability to understand and comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
  • Vehicle Checks: Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with on-site health and safety requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety and well-being.
Working Conditions
  • Shifts: Ongoing and adhoc shift available, including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend availability.
  • Pay: £16.26-£24.00 per hour, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
