Insight Global Seeks Voice Engineer for Central London Contract

Please note that this is an Inside IR35, 6-month contract (with possible extensions) that requires on-site work 5 days a week in Central London.

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Voice Engineer to join a large financial institution in London. The successful candidate will be part of the Core Engineering business unit, specifically within the Digital Workplace and Voice Engineering team. This team manages a wide range of voice-related products used by every employee in the firm, including Cisco, Zoom, and Teams.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for designing, setting up, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting microphone and voice controls within the organization's environment. Additionally, they will be involved in managing the product lifecycles for voice platforms, providing escalation support, and advanced troubleshooting of critical issues on voice platforms. The candidate will also analyze production outage trends and recommend long-term product fixes.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in designing, deploying, and supporting voice platforms.
  • Experience with MS Teams Meetings and MS Teams Phone.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco voice products, including Call Manager, Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, Voice ISR Gateway, etc.
  • Experience with Cloud Telephony PBX (Zoom/Teams).
  • Experience in engineering, deploying, and supporting large-scale, multisite voice communication systems.
  • Ability to clearly document deployment designs and related management and support procedures.

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience supporting global enterprise organizations.
  • Ability to analyze production data to spot anomalies in configurations or logs.
  • Capability to automate repetitive tasks in a production environment.
  • Experience with Networking, Security, and VMware.
  • Experience with Cloud Migration - SIP, SBC, AWS.
  • Experience with various enterprise voice products, such as Asterisk IP-PBX, Audio Conferencing bridges.
  • Experience with Telecom Carriers management.
  • Understanding of Voice Integration APIs.
  • Thorough understanding of voice communication concepts and protocols - SIP, SDP, TDM/PSTN.
