About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at HMP Millsike, a brand new Category B men's prison located in the village of Full Sutton near York.

The prison will have an operational capacity of 1500 people who will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release as part of the government's drive to cut reoffending.

The Clinical Lead will play a key role in developing and implementing healthcare services that meet the needs of the prisoners and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement healthcare policies and procedures
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
  • Work closely with the prison management team to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare services
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed

Requirements

  • Registered healthcare professional with a strong clinical background
  • Experience of working in a prison or secure environment
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
