About the Role

We are seeking a patient and friendly individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with our lead teachers to provide support in classroom activities, including setting up materials, assisting with lesson delivery, and managing student behavior. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in setting up materials, delivering lessons, and managing student behavior to ensure a productive learning environment.
  • Individualised Assistance: Work closely with students on a one-on-one or small group basis to provide additional support and guidance in understanding subject matter.
  • Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining discipline and order in the classroom, reinforcing established rules and procedures.
  • Learning Resources: Help organize and prepare learning resources, such as textbooks, visual aids, and supplementary materials.
  • Assessment Support: Assist in administering and grading assignments, quizzes, and tests, as well as recording and tracking student progress.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Child Safeguarding: Adhere to our child safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Apprenticeship Summary
  • You will work towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification across a total duration of 18 months.
  • All online/remote learning, no classroom or college day release.
  • An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship.
Requirements
  • Sensitivity and Understanding: Ability to work with students and staff in a sensitive and understanding manner.
  • Patience and Calmness: Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and provide patient support to students.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
